Gary N. Koutsoubos is a Senior Project Manager at Templar Baker Group.
Before joining Templar Baker, Gary served as the Director of External Affairs for Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson, where he developed and maintained a plan to increase the visibility of the Secretary and managed her field staff. His first job was with the Michigan Republican Party (MRP) beginning in April of 2000 as a Regional Field Director, serving as a liaison between county party leadership and the State Committee. In December of 2003, he moved to Washington DC to serve in President George W. Bush’s administration as a Special Assistant and Deputy Director of Advance to the Secretary of Labor. Gary worked with the Secretary, White House personnel, other members of the Cabinet, labor and ethnic organizations, media outlets and law enforcement agencies to ensure successful events for the Secretary and the Administration. In September 2006, Gary went to work for Information Management Network as the Senior Vice President & Conference Producer for their Public/Native American Finance and Investment Management Division in New York City. He was responsible for developing the intellectual content of the conference agendas based on extensive research of the target market. Gary returned to MRP in 2010 and served as their Deputy Political Director/EDO Coordinator through the 2012 election cycle. While there, Gary managed multiple State Conventions and developed relationships with many grassroots leaders from across the state.
Gary graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations and Comparative Politics. He currently lives in Bloomfield Township with his wife Megan and their three children, Abigail, Nicholas and Aubrey.
