As Senior Project Manager, Emily advises political and advocacy clients on communications strategy and public affairs outreach.
Prior to joining TBG, Emily worked with various clients to help improve their public affairs and advocacy efforts. Most recently, Emily served as the director of communications for the Ohio Pork Council. In this role, Emily handled all media inquiries and developed public affairs campaigns to broaden the Council’s message among consumers. In doing so, Emily leveraged over five unique earned media placements per month on behalf of the Ohio pork industry. What’s more, Emily created a bacon vending machine that went viral online and was featured on Fox News, the Associated Press and several international outlets. This campaign headlined thousands of articles, tweets and shares. In the week, the machine was in use, Emily charted more than 1,100 news stories and more than 6,470 social mentions.
Additionally, Emily previously served as a project manager for Strategic Public Partners. Within this role, Emily advised Fortune 500 companies, including: Bank of America and Ford Motor Company on local media and influencer outreach. Emily also worked in several communications roles within the Michigan political industry, including: the Michigan State Senate, state House of Representatives, state Attorney General’s office, Michigan Republican Party and House Republican Campaign Committee. Through these roles, Emily worked with elected officials and candidates to sharpen their message and ensure the appropriate communications strategy throughout their campaigns.
